Tank de 2 litres de l'écurie Yves Giraud-Cabantous engagé dans l'édition des 24 h du Mans 1937, piloté par Charles Cottet et Charles Roux. Il termina trente huitième sur 48 après, abandon suite à accident au trente deuxième tour, en ayant parcouru 432 kilomètres.

Les pilotes étaient M Yves Giraud-Cabantous et charles Rigoulot. Il est remarquable de terminer à cette position avec un véhicule conçue 10 ans plus tôt. Cela démontre l'avance que possédait Chenard et Walcker sur ces concurrents durant les années où la marque enchaîna les victoires. Routes pavées 1923 équipe Chenard et Walcker

In 1923 after the victories of Le Mans and Grand Prix of Boulogne, the Chenard and Walcker company engages with the automobile club of the North, three cars for the Grand Prix of paved roads (Grand Prix of Lille). Only 4 liters piloted by M Lagache does not finish the race. On this photography we see in the center three liters of M Sénéchal with the number 5 on the radiator, a winner of the race. Then we perceive 2 liters of André Pisart with the numero 18 which finishes second .Il is to note number 30 a 1500 cm3, which is not a car of factory, piloted by regional M Bachmann, owner of the big garage of Flanders and to the left of the photo one seneschal marks cousin of the manufacturer.

24 Heures du Mans 1923 3 litres de M Lagache

Le départ de cette course s'est effectué en ligne par ordre de numéros croissants, sous un orage violent de grêle. Les voitures avaient des carrosseries ouvertes. Les conditions de course étaient des routes boueuses et parsemées d'ornières, malgré cela 30 concurrents terminèrent, et ce sont les 2 Chenard et Walcker N°9 et N°10 qui firent le plus fort kilométrage avec respectivement 2209 km et 2140 km.
Il est à noter sur la photographie la rupture de la fixation du phare gauche, principale cause de soucis des voitures lors de cette course.
This photography represents three liters number 9 of the equipage consisted of André Lagache and René léonard during the first edition of 24 Heures du Mans. This model of type U3, possesses an engine of 79,5X150 the camshaft of which in head commands valves tilted on a single row. The double ignition is assured by a magneto variable advance. The power stands out to 90 Cv.
The departure of this race was made on-line in order of increasing numbers, under a violent thunderstorm of hail. Cars had opened bodies. The conditions of race were roads muddy and strewed with ruts, nevertheless 30 competitors ended, and it is 2 Chenard and Walcker N°9 and N°10 who made the strongest mileage with respectively 2209 km and 2140 km.
It is to note on the photography the break of the fixation of the left lighthouse, the main cause of concerns of cars during this race.

Coupe Boillot 1923 3 litres de M Lagache


Sur cette photographie, on voit la 3 litres d'usine pilotée par lagache lors de l'édition 1923 de la coupe Boillot ou grand prix de Boulogne. Le constructeur avait engagé 2 voitures conduites par Lagache et Dauvergne. Celles-ci n'ont pas remporté le grand prix. C'est la trois litres d'un agent général de la marque Chenard et Walcker, dénommé André Pisart, qui remporte cette édition avec son propre véhicule accompagné de son épouse dans le rôle de technicien embarqué. Pour ne pas ravitailler, il fît construire sur sa voiture, deux réservoirs supplémentaires un d'huile, l'autre d'essence commandés depuis le poste de pilotage.

Tank N°35 de M Lagache coupe Boillot 1926

Voici la photographie du Tank N°35 de 1100 cm3 qui était piloté par M Lagache lors de l'édition 1926 de la coupe Boillot. La gerbe de fleurs sur le capot récompense le vainqueur de cette compétition. Cette année la firme avait engagé trois Tanks contre les constructeurs suivants: Ratier, Bentley, Alvis et Ariès.Chenard et Walcker prendra les trois premières places, dans l'ordre suivant: Lagache, Léonard et Manso de Zuniga qui réalisera le record du tour à 118 km/h. Le grand prix de Boulogne est remporté pour la quatrième année consécutive.
Here is the photography of the Tank N°35 of 1100 cm3 that was piloted by M Lagache during the edition 1926 of the cup Boillot. The sheaf of flowers on the hood rewards the winner of this competition. Tank N°5 de Sénéchal Coupe Boillot 1925

La firme Chenard et Walcker avait engagé cette année, cinq véhicules pour tenter de remporter pour la troisième année consécutive cette compétition. Les deux quatre litres conduites par Manso de Zuniga et Pisart et les trois tanks conduits par Sénéchal, Lagache et léonard ont connu des fortunes variées. Pour les 4 litres, Pisart fut contraint à l'abandon tandis que Manso de Zuniga termina quatrième. Le Tank de Lagache remporta la course avec une moyenne de 102,3 Km/h pour un peu plus de 5 heures de course. Le tank de Sénéchal fut victime d'un accident en doublant la 4 litres de Pisart, il versa au fossé endommageant de manière irréversible sa boîte de vitesse. La photographie fut prise à son retour au stand où l'on peut remarquer les stigmates de l'accident sur la partie avant du véhicule.

Tank n°3 de Léonard et Manso de Zuniga 1926

Manso de Zuniga, sur la photo, partage le volant d'un tank de 1100 cm3 lors du Grand Prix de San Sébastien en 1926 avec Monsieur Léonard. Ils vont remporter l'épreuve en réalisant un nouveau record du monde sur 12 heures avec un total de 1245 km à la moyenne de 103,780 km/h. Les Chenard et Walcker ont littéralement écrasé la concurrence et notamment l'écurie Mercédès venue dans ce grand prix avec l'étiquette de favori avec ses voitures de plus de 7 litres de cylindrée.
Manso of Zuniga, on the photo, share the steering wheel of a tank of 1100 cm3 during Grand Prix of San Sébastien in 1926 with Mister Léonard. Routes pavées 1924

La photographie représente une trois litres classique pilotée par M Sénéchal lors de l'édition 1924 des routes pavées ou grand prix de Lille.
In 1924 the automobile club of the North suited the Chenard et Walcker factory to engage 3 cars on this competition of the end of very testing season for cars. Three different models are thus going to participate with one 4 liters piloted by M Lagache, one three liters piloted by M Sénéchal and one 2 liters piloted by M Pisart. We find the following marks on this race: lancia, Bugatti, Georges Irat, Peugeot, Ariès..... The race is enamelled by mechanical incidents and it is M Sénéchal who takes him in front of M Pisart after a fantastic rise both Chenard and Walcker. M Lagache will not end the Grand Prix, it's an another failure for this famous 4 liters.

Grand prix de Belgique 1925

La course sera émaillée d'incident et Glazzman sur la numéro 6 effectuera une sortie de route spectaculaire mais sans gravité et c'est le Tandem Lagache, Léonard qui remportera la course devant une Excelsior. Lucien Chenard pleure d'émotion une partie de son rêve est réalisée, le dernier modèle conçu par son père a gagné un grand prix. L'équipe belge Impéria termine avec ses trois voitures et enlève la coupe du Roi au titre de la régularité.
La photo présente la 4 litres au ravitaillement pendant la séance d'essais avec probablement un commissaire de course qui pose devant le photographe.
In 1925, the Chenard et Walcker firm competes for the second consecutive year for Grand Prix of Belgium on the circuit of Francorchamps. The 4 liters of Lucien Chenard which were very disappointing in 24 Heures du Mans are aligned on this race with the hope of a repurchase by the victory.
