En 1924 l'automobile club du nord convint l'usine Chenard et Walcker d'engager 3 voitures sur cette compétition de fin de saison très éprouvante pour les voitures. Trois modèles différents vont donc participer avec une 4 litres pilotée par M Lagache, une trois litres pilotée par M Sénéchal et une 2 litres pilotée par M Pisart. On retrouve les marques suivantes sur cette course: lancia, Bugatti, Georges Irat, Peugeot, Ariès.....La course est émaillée d'incidents mécaniques et c'est M Sénéchal qui l'emporte devant M Pisart après une remontée fantastique des deux Chenard et Walcker. M Lagache ne terminera pas le grand prix, c'est encore un échec pour cette fameuse 4 litres.La photographie représente une trois litres classique pilotée par M Sénéchal lors de l'édition 1924 des routes pavées ou grand prix de Lille.
In 1924 the automobile club of the North suited the Chenard et Walcker factory to engage 3 cars on this competition of the end of very testing season for cars. Three different models are thus going to participate with one 4 liters piloted by M Lagache, one three liters piloted by M Sénéchal and one 2 liters piloted by M Pisart. We find the following marks on this race: lancia, Bugatti, Georges Irat, Peugeot, Ariès..... The race is enamelled by mechanical incidents and it is M Sénéchal who takes him in front of M Pisart after a fantastic rise both Chenard and Walcker. M Lagache will not end the Grand Prix, it's an another failure for this famous 4 liters.
