Le Circuit des routes pavées à Pont-à-Marcq, dans la banlieue de Lille, s’est disputé à partir des années 1920. Equipements, vitesse, état des routes concourent à en faire une épopée de tous les instants, notamment au fameux virage de Pont-à-Marcq, lieu de plusieurs accidents mémorables, qui font partie de la légende de la course.
